Anxiety

Anxiety

When your mind won’t settle, therapy can offer a steady place to slow down and make sense of what’s underneath.

What it can feel like

Anxiety doesn’t always look the way people expect.

For many of the people I work with, it sits quietly beneath a capable, put-together surface — showing up as internal pressure, self-doubt, or a sense of always bracing for what comes next.

You may recognise some of these experiences. You don’t need all of them, or a diagnosis, to reach out.

01
A mind that keeps running — replaying conversations or rehearsing what could go wrong
02
Tension, restlessness, a tight chest, or trouble sleeping
03
Pressure to get everything right, and harshness toward yourself when you don’t
04
Difficulty saying no, or worry about disappointing others
05
Avoiding things that matter to you because they feel like too much
06
Feeling on edge, even when life looks fine from the outside
How we might work with it

Understanding, not just managing.

Rather than offering quick fixes, we take time to explore what your anxiety may be protecting, what it costs you, and what might help you feel steadier — at a pace that feels manageable.

i.

Making sense of it

Exploring where your anxiety comes from and what keeps it going — including ways of coping that may once have helped but no longer serve you.

ii.

Finding steadier ground

Grounding practices and practical strategies when helpful, so you have ways to respond to anxious moments with more ease.

iii.

Gently going deeper

With your permission, exploring the emotions, relationships and experiences beneath the surface, at a pace that feels respectful.
